Default FL shooting survivor? who is one?

What makes a person a "FL shooting survivor"? Are all the kids that survived "FL shooting survivors"?
And who is this punk kid to call on a sheriff to resign? Is he trying to build a name for himself? Is he heading into politics?

Kyle is 16 and after this passes no one will every remember him or his name.

I think it is important to have feelings but it seems he is a bit young to start acting like a 30 year veteran politician.

Parkland Shooting Survivor Calls on Broward County, FL Sheriff Scott Israel to Resign

    by Pam Key25 Feb 20181,641

Sunday on Fox News Channel’s “America’s News HQ,” Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School shooting survivor Kyle Kashuv called on Broward County, FL, Sheriff Scott Israel to resign over his department’s actions leading up to and during the Parkland school shooting.

Kashuv said, “That is definitely where the conversation should be. And it’s absolutely outrageous to me that at the CNN town hall, we had the sheriff, who was virtue signaling against the NRA and against guns when he didn’t act properly. The armed officer at our school waited outside with the sheriff and his men for four minutes while my classmates died while he sat outside and waited. Then he turns around and says guns are the issue when he failed to act properly.”

He added, “He absolutely needs to resign. He failed to act on so many different levels. And he himself is responsible for this massive failure. This could have been stopped by the FBI, and the sheriff’s department had they acted.”

It is still a scary thought as to how close we came to having Hillary Clinton as president of the USA.

I don't think children should be separated from their parents when migrating to the USA. They may stay together in Mexico.

His age does not negate the fact that he is correct.
    The Sheriff needs to go.

He said this about the Sherriff, so does this mean he has changed his view and is not blaming guns now?

These 16 year old 'survivors' are being led around by the nose. There are those on both sides of the issue who will take advantage of children. I had hoped 'our side' was above this. Fight fire with fire, I guess.

Only on these gun forums did I ever hear a LE is not responsible to protect a person.

While it seems to defy common sense the Supreme Court ruled in 2005 that the police do not have a constitutional duty to protect you.

For right or wrong that is the law.
That said, I hope the 17 dead haunt every single moment both awake and asleep of any officer that stood by and made no attempt to neutralize the threat while they were being killed.

I guess I am just getting overly sensitive to the name calling, finger pointing from all the veteran politicians, news media and talk show hosts -- now it trickles down to all the "Shooting survivor students" of the HS.

Its Trumps fault, it is the NRA, LE has blood on their hands, it's the media and the talk of all the loopholes in background checks -- I've had enough. Especially when NONE of it applies to the current topic of discussion.

So many provide lip service to repeat the criticism of what has been said thousands of times but NO ONE offers a solution...but they don't want to hear there is no solution.

    Sorry for all my verbiage...
