Default Do you support the war?

I mean everyone should support the troops, but what about the war? Do you think are men should be over there? Make sure to thoroughly express your opinion.

Fight them there, or fight them here.... Not much of a choice IMO.

    Gunzi is correct.

I spent 23 years in the service and a little time in the sandbox (SA) in the 80's.

A large majority of Islam dislikes us for our opulent lifestyle, but really have no interest in killing us. But nearly everyone I met when engaged in conversation eventually let it slip how much they hate the Jews and will do what it takes to eliminate them from the earth. I spent months talking to different people and was surprised how consistent these feeling were.

When talking about politics it is always a good thing to never mention your support of Israel or let anyone see any Christian or Jewish symbols or books.

More than a few people had to leave country early because they could not keep their mouths shut about their faith. (Please don’t preach to the converted. We were there to train there people to fly aircraft, not spread the Gospel! Some folks never listen.)

Some people even faced a death sentence if caught.

Radical Islam will kill us in our sleep if given the chance. They hate us they way we hate roaches and vermin. Radical Islam will never chance their tune so they must be defeated the same way we beat the Nazis, completely.

They know they cannot beat us in any thing remotely like a conventional or even guerilla war so they work to get our LIBs on their side.

    Divide and Conquer.

    Very old, effective strategy.

We are in deep doo doo if we cut and run. They will come for us.

    +1 to Jim Bianchi

All I want to say is - Beslan. Hopefully, we all remember the scenes of the children being led out and then the bodies of children being pulled out of the school that the Chechen terrorists took over. I will never accept that happening in our country but we must be vigilant and be prepared to take the war to the terrorists.

I've spent 27 years in the service, one tour last year in the mid-East, 2 deployments to Europe since 9/11. I can't say I'm really happy about everything bush has done over there, however, I can't even imagine what it would be like if clinton or gore had been prez.

Folks, we have been at war with islam for 1300 years, don't forget that. yes, most of them can live with us, but they don't like us, a good portion of them would love to see us and isreal destroyed.

i always ask people "what was your plan b?" When they go huh? I ask them, "what was you rgame plan for when saddam died?" there is no way his two idiot sons could have held that country together. the vacuum would have been huge, you would have had kurds trying to break away, Iran would have been in there in a heatbeat, turkey and syria would have both gotten invovled somewhere, al queada would have been involved on a huge scale, there would have been few bases for us to operate out of, kuwait and qatar are the only two. it would have been impossible for us to commit ground troops, in fact, i would say that more than likely we would still be waiting for the UN to do something....

no, george bush didn't handle everything right, but he didn't handle everything wrong either.

    Critch,

    I Could not agree more. :!: :!: :!:

Bush's solution is far from prefect, but it beats the alternatives.
