YEAH, like the nation was never divided before Trump came along.

NOW, it's all divided! Puh-leez. Why do they always have to put

Trump in the middle of things?

Some folks just need to start getting back on with their lives.

I wonder who would win if the world was just filled with liberals and muslims?

The nation is divided, but anyone with half a gnat's brain in a position of real leadership should try and bridge partisan differences, to hell with the media, let them do their thing, they are what they are, but political leaders need to stop with the constant childish shit and personal attacks and start forging relationships that you can govern with. If a nation cannot govern, it's doomed.

I wish I knew. At this point I'm not sure it's remotely possible. But there was a time, when despite partisan differences, the country was governable and things got done. My assertion is that unless our leaders find a way to do this again, we're simply doomed, because we'll just keep muddling along from one disaster to the next, and the divisions will only increase. Such a formula is a recipe for disintegration. I blame the 24/hour news to a large extent, it fuels this disastrous cycle of tabloid news and fearmongering, but our leaders need to learn how to stop being the 5th grader and rise above the sewer talk. If president Trump knows that Obama ordered him wiretapped, why in the HELL would he verbalize it publicly, before first taking those serious claims to the FBI or Congress? This makes no sense at all.

I thought of his tweet as a challenge. There was / is all this talk about Russia and stuff but no one has any substance; otherwise it would be done by now. So here you have news being leaked about last year communications between Russia and some people here. No one knows or no one is saying what it was about. But the libs keep drilling and drilling.....doing whatever they could to create the appearance of substance in hopes to create a division between Trump and his supporters. They want to damage him and the support for him.

After a few months of this, he became vocal and really put a fire to it. So be it. It's like telling them, poop or get off the pot. And I agree. I am ok with it. Sometimes you ned to fight fire with fire. Sometimes you have to just as crazy or crazier than your opponent. He is doing to them what they are doing to him....and they cannot figure out how to deal with it. They cannot figure out his next move. You need to stay at least one step ahead of the opponent, to win.

    That is good.....

Sometimes I believe we are guilty of what we accuse others of.....including myself.

I think it has become very easy in today's society to blame others for we ourselves could do. I found the following statement in another thread:

"However, the currently Republican Party is dominated by a bunch of lunatic evangelicals and neanderthals, and the democrats are so liberal they might as well move to Denmark."

Granted, each party was mentioned; however, if we want to remove divisions, "It starts with me" (as in you / us). Leadership is not responsible for your view of evangelicals and such, but you are.

If you want to stop division between people, stop dividing them.

Say out loud "it starts with me"!

Such a formula is a recipe for disintegration.

This is the main strategy of what is currently called 'progressivism'. When diversity increases to the point where there are warring tribes beyond number, strange genital activities and proclivities divide and subdivide, and who bakes cakes, or not, for whose festivities, and if they contain pork products or GMOs, totally wrecks society, the Liberals will swoop down and say: We will rescue you from this chaos, submit and be governed by our benevolence.

    They're doing it already.
"Behold, I Myself have created the smith who blows the fire of coals and brings out a weapon for its work." Isaiah 54:16

"Now there was no blacksmith to be found throughout all the land of Israel, for the Philistines said, 'Lest the Hebrews make themselves swords or spears.'" 1 Samuel 13: 19

"Each of the builders had his sword strapped at his side while he built." Nehemiah 4:17-18

"Let the one who has no sword sell his cloak and buy one." Luke 22:35-38

Way back (and not so long ago back) in History when I was taking History in college, I took some classes in Russian and Soviet History. THE biggest reason for the collapse and fall of the Soviet Empire was attributed to ethnic, societal and racial diversity. As hard as they tried to break up the diversity (physically transferring people around the Soviet Union, and killing millions) they only succeeded in scattering little pockets of diversity all over the place. They never had anything except fear to unify the Union.

The United States took in a great deal of diversity from all walks and ways of life. The unifying point was Americanism. And they were Americans because they wanted to be desperately. There was no one trying to escape from America. There was no need. They could leave but the didn't want to. Because Americanism bound everyone together and created the most magnificent nation the world has every known.

Those Socialists after the Soviet model, would have us change all that. And Barack Obama tried his damnedest to create as many pockets of diversity as he possibly could. Whether it was intentional or he was just doing what he had been programed to do doesn't matter. The result was the same.

The answer to this problem is unification. After 9/11 the country was unified and patriotism was at an all time high. It was a unifying event, like Pearl Harbor. Terrible that there has to be such tragedies to unify Americans, but we become complacent in good times. We find time to fight among ourselves instead of of against a common enemy.

Perhaps this Trump experiment will serve only to stop the plunge toward destruction.

Our nation was divided long before President Trump considered running.

It's long past time that someone with balls challenged media. I don't believe a damned word out of a broadcast journalist's mouth.

Media is so inherently unreliable that it's considered in law as hearsay, and unreliable to prove truth of any matter.

Media is pissed at President Trump because he refuses to allow it to get away with lying, and he knows how to work media better than journalists.

News programs are entertainment. Political programs are opinion presented as factual.

Without seeing a certified copy of Obama's birth certificate, no one knows where he was born. They can believe he was born in Hawai'i if they choose. But they don't know it. The reasonable man standard applies. A reasonable man would've produced a certified copy of his birth certificate when questioned about his legality to hold office of the presidency.
