Default EDITORIAL: It’s Time to De-Fund the NRA

I have taken the position not to provide any “contributions” to the NRA until there is a full accounting and explanation of the shenanigans and Wayne L. has step down. The NRA needs new leadership IMHO.

I feel the membership deserves answers sooner, rather than later. IMHO, it is fair to say Wayne L. has worn-out his welcome.

Before committing ritual seppuku let’s all vote for Kamala Harris or some other gungrabbing democrat so we can prove our moral superiority over Wayne LaPierre.

Then we can take great pride in our victimhood just before the lights go out.

We’re morons if we continue this kind of internal fighting when every Tom, Dick, Harry, and Kamala wants to take guns.

This is exactly what the leftist millionaires want, internal fighting.

Their attacks on the organization failed miserably.

Unfortunately, their attacks on the organization's leader seems to be gaining traction.

Personally, I find it sad and offsetting when a purportedly pro-firearms website goes fullblown antigun. Also, I'm curious as to how much money that editorial cost some elitist money man.

The NRA will iron things out. No need to give up on them. I know folks who dropped memberships because they got sick of the calls. They don't have my number so i don't get that. I get the email's sometimes. But im not dropping my membership.

I hope people are listening. I personally do not care what someone else gets paid, what they do with their paycheck or their peter. So far the NRA has held the line against every attack since that moron JFK managed to get himself shot. I am not sure if any other management group could have done that. I am also not willing to gamble on that possibility. I am sure billionaires like Soros, and Bloomberg are licking their chops at the prospect of dismanteling the NRA into small ineffective splinter groups. Local and state groups are fine. They work well within the area where they are located. On the national level they would be ignored and we would be in a shooting war. I will not give up my right to self protection.

    Well bless your heart.

The appearance of impropriety is just as harmful as the impropriety itself. The NRA would do much better if they cleaned up this mess sooner rather than later. A strong united front would be much more effective than the division we have now. All of it caused by Wayne and the behind closed doors, suspicious, maneuvering of the NRA board.

The NRA is hated by the left because they are better lobbyist and have spanked the left to many times to count.

I have read your comments and don’t disagree, except to say perhaps Wayne can do the right thing and step down.

The problems we see within the NRA can quickly be reversed and in so doing, members to include myself would cheerfully open my pocket book and put my money where my mouth is.

I am not naive about the anti-gun motivates to see the NRA dismantled, but I also see the threat surrounding the improprieties we have all read about and the resignations.

Wayne is not the only one who can direct and lead the NRA. There are other capable people inside and outside the organization who can get the job done.

Trust and integrity has to be restored. Given all that has transpired, Wayne ought to think of the best interest of the NRA and membership and resign.

Keeping him in place is just rewarding bad behavior and that will only further degrade the morale.

Chris Cox is OUT. Yet, in a matter of two weeks I've received two "The Wolf Is Coming" and "End of Days" letters and requests for donations, both under Cox signature. I know, it's just timing of mailing, but still.............

Unfortunately I am hearing the same bologna on other sites. Stop supporting the NRA. I have argued against the craziness of boycotting the NRA but I can only hope these people will quickly realize they are playing right into the hands of the enemy. It's no different when a family member or good friend screws up, you hang in there and try to help them get right.

I truly hope that if things ever get really bad out there, I truly hope I do not have to depend on them to cover my back.
