When I visit the Forum and click on "New Posts" at the top of the page, if there is more than one page of new posts, I can't view anything on the second page.

I will try using the page count navigation links at the bottom of the list, doesn't matter is I press the arrow to navigate to the next page, or the numbers to go directly to the corresponding pages, I get an Error Page that reads "Sorry - no matches. Please try some different terms."

Hey all

As you mentioned this seems to be fixed, and I am not coming across this issue at the moment.

Can you let me know what browsers you are all using? And are you on a PC or a mobile device? Desktop view, or enhanced mobile?

Thanks

Dayle

I'm on a desktop, latest version of Firefox. Was only 1 page of new posts today for me today. Will post here if it happens again.

Got a new one on Firefox. This is cute. :aureola: When on this site with Firefox. I get audio commercials playing. Doesn't happen on Safari. Desktop mini mac. Couple years old.
Haven't pinned down for sure if other sites. Not sure this one wasn't open on another window. Did happen on other.

This happened while on another thread. I came here. It's happening on this thread. I'm getting local voice commercials?
Let me know if there is more I can provide?

EDIT: I admit. I had been on Fox News. And it's just that I spend so much time here. I'm beginning to think this is an issue with FlashPlayer. Not any particular website. It only happens on Firefox. Been getting those messages to update FlashPlayer. Other stuff refusing to play because FlashPlayer outdated. Yet, my flash player is up to date. I won't click on those links to update. I go to Adobe, then update.
EDIT2: Safari has different problems. It will immediately come up with: "can't find the server" . When clicking here. I'll change over to Firefox at that point. No problem getting in here.
I wouldn't doubt that much of the problems are due to this administrations sticking it's nose in the internet. They do and have done much worse. And just blame it all on the Russians.

The odd part is. I don't see anything. I'll comb any tabs I have open. Try to find a video playing somewhere? Try to find any local add displayed? Don't see anything. Just this voice commercial playing?

I thought maybe the page clip I did list might show something to you that I can't see?

I have, when closing out my tabs; found a page in the back open. Some odd thing? Most times doesn't have anything. It's one of those tabs that isn't a full browser window. Like a pop up. I can't say this pop up is there when I get the audio, even a large percentage of the time. The pop up is there very little. Maybe 2 or 5% of the time?

I do go to those 'news' sites where I keep having to click to get more of the story. Then it will pull something. Open another window. Then my webroot kicks in and says don't go here. I'll close it and the news is over. Last time was on the newest aircraft. Didn't get to see the remainder of them.

Might also have to do with my mouse pad. Often times it will click something that i'm just touching it. Or moving the cursor can click. But I'll click something else. Sometimes get adds come up that I don't want. Maybe this is just a partial loading of something when I clicked another?
But gee.... it has been local adds lately. Only local voice adds. That's all.

Just found it. Here's the clip.
https://pageshot.net/5VO9NHHgRGsVRhSG/www.nationalgunforum.com
As I understand it. You can see that page if you click on it?
At the bottom. A section called "Links". It's playing videos. Commercials. Most with no audio.
I'm rationalizing. When I looked before and didn't see anything. The video wasn't there? But audio was playing.

This is also at a time of browsing. Everything slow and jerky. Scrolling is jerky. Scrolling will jump. Page loading slow. Typing hesitating, then dumping (type showing) all at once.
It is times like this that I think I could have interference. NSA listening and interrupting connection? Hacker?
Sometimes rebooting the modem will help. Often times not.

That 'clip' of Firefox's doesn't include the entire page. It was supposed to.
Here's a clip of just that bottom with the "link" section. The saved clip in the link expires in 14 days.
I admit. This is a beta of Firefox's clip feature.
I confess I have never looked into or used Apple's screen shot. If you'd really rather have that. I'll go through getting up to speed on that for you.

I apologize for not getting back to you sooner. Next time it happens. I'll do that.
I do confess. I have my volume turned down much of the time. Partially because of this. Also commercials on things like Fox News are way too loud. I just bring up the volume when I need to.
I'll turn it up to try to catch this.

Yea it happens in the "links" box at the bottom left. It blasts the volume and if you mute it it comes on again and gets un-muted. There are several back to back. Very annoying I get mine with MS Edge. I know you need ad revenue but it's enough to make me consider leaving.

If the problem happens again not allowing access to page 2 or more there are a couple things you can try.

- Increase the number of displayed posts in your profile configuration
- go to the URL line (location bar) and change the number of the page to what you want (add the -3 as below for this forum) and search

In this example case you would need to know they syntax for the next page which may not always be intuitive. Most sites have similar methods.

Had to break up the URL for visual display

Here ya go....

https://pageshot.net/8HuizmYpZtcB3qWS/view-source

That should be good for 14 days.

This time. No audio. I looked down the page because. I'm getting at the top of my browser window: "Firefox has prevented the outdated pluging 'Adobe Flash' from funning on http://www.nationalgunforum.com
Now I keep getting messages like that. I have updated my Adobe Flash Player more than once recently. ????

#23 ·
No extensions on firefox that I know of?
The blocking flash. The message is that it's the old flash...needs to be updated. When I have updated it. ??? Am I to understand that Adobe is updating Flash every few days lately?
I won't click on any updating Flash. I'll only go to Adobe's website. Then update.

On the videos. What was odd was that I would be audio. But no video? Or video didn't match at all with audio. Real odd with local commercials in audio only.

So let me get this straight. The Admin on this site have no idea what and where these ads are playing and have no idea or control over the fact that the volume is so high.

This seems to be an intermittent issue, and we are trying to narrow down the cause.
As mentioned we need screenshots, the URL and your general Geographical location so we can narrow down this issue.

Thank you for your patience,

Richard.
