However, I personally know of a few people who are quite handicapped and cannot work out to regain form because of loss of limbs etc and they hunt via some very friendly laws allowing special permission for them in their states.
Some states, and Nevada, IIRC, is still one - that allows a handicapped person to hunt from a vehicle. I have a friend here in Florida who volunteers to take out handicapped vets so they can hunt. There might be ways where you live to accomplish that

In Pa disabled hunters can use a vehicle or atv/utv to hunt.

John if you buy your license and privileges ie archery bear muzzle loaded or what ever else you want. When they come available. Then put away some money as the seasons approach. It won't be such a financial burden.

I know a gentleman, older guy , that has always wanted to hunt but family came first. He finally has time and a few resources to put towards hunting. He bought clothes last year. A rifle this year. He has had an inexpensive reflex camera for several years. He is practicing with the rifle and getting quite good. Next year he is getting all his permits to hunt Public Lands in Texas, $48 and a Super Combo Hunting/Fishing License and hopes to actually hunt.
In the meantime, he puts on his hunting clothes, puts out corn and "hunts" with the camera. He gets to learn the wildlife, get some cool pics and work on his woods/field crafts skills. Watches videos on how to clean different game.

Hunting does not require permits or guns. Neither does learning. Most kids spend several years learning about hunting before ever going hunting.

Learning only requires a desire, not a "teacher".

No, but killing does.................unless they are not considered a game animal, like feral hogs, coyotes, P-dogs, etc.

in the grand scheme of things, the cheapest part of the hunt for many is the State or federal tags and license. Which is for me less than the price of a tank of gas.....or a couple of take-out orders from pizza hut for the family. The gas is gone in a week.....the pizza in two nights......the hunting license.......good for a year, the tags good for that season.

best of all.......i won't remember that tank of gas or eating that pizza.....but i will remember the hunts.....whether i get something or not.

If you go searching for excuses to not do something... you'll find them.

Don’t eat that Pizza Hut stuff! For God sakes that’s just not right.
