Interesting ,Game and Fish Commissions also have various regulations regarding calibers and types of firearms. The various handguns are in many calibers. We are talking defense. A wounded bear does not recline while you set and watch him bleed out. Wyoming law allows Bow Hunters to carry a firearm. I personally have never known of anyone successfully fending off an attacking bear with a bow? Bow hunting is usually done from a secured position.

I believe the last two black bears I harvested were with a Ruger Super Blackhawk revolver chambered in .44 Mag.

If I were going to hunt black bear today I believe I'd use my Marlin Model 336 chambered in .35 Remington.

The difference between a Socialist and a Communist is that the Socialist doesn't have all the guns yet.

That is an excellent choice. My first lever action was a Stevens Mdl.425 .35 Remington. I bought it for $75 bucks and we traveled many miles together. They now sell for $1,000 dollars on Gun Broker.
