    That's an AK?

    Looks like a CZ VZ-58.

You have done no damage to your carbine.

I never saw one in person or around here or at the range. It looks like it's way easy to clean though!

Gotta read more about them I guess and it's in 7.62 x 39 also.

Poster..I hope you do not take this the wrong way, as I mean it for the good of you
    and those around you.

If you are not familiar with such a weapon, and it does not come with a owners manual
that includes basic operation, etc,,,then there is no doubt such a manual(s) available
    on the web....

I say this because you are obviously...by your own conveyance, a danger to yourself
and or others if you do indeed, introduce live ammunition to that weapon without
further training....and I do not mean forum chat...

    regards and be safe,

Rule #1. always read the instructions before operating any equipment whether it's blender or a firearm.
Rule #2. NEVER force anything open or closed on a firearm.
Rule #3. Don't be afraid or refrain from asking what may turn out to be stupid questions. Better to ask than to remain silent and provide proof by your actions.
Rule #4. Oh, Hell, three's enough for now.

I'm beginning to wonder that too, it clearly has a stripper clip guide. So that should be a big sign to him that it will lock like that. XD
