The National Rifle Association has issued a strongly-worded criticism of a fellow gun rights group, calling its practice of so-called "open carry" demonstrations "downright scary."
"A man's rights rest in three boxes: the ballot box, the jury box, and the cartridge box."
    - Frederick Douglass

"When a strong man, fully armed, guards his house, his possessions are safe."
    - Luke 11:21

The rallies aren't bad. The organized visits to the Legislature aren't bad. The moronic little butt goblins walking around downtown carrying ARs and AKs is beyond stupid. I've always been for OC in Texas. Didn't realize how many little roaches we had crawling out of the woodwork. Before I'd care to see these kinds of ass clowns walking around carrying rifles, I'd vote against OC too.

These morons are not representative of everyone (not even a significant minority) in the Texas OC movement. I don't think it takes Einstein to realize these clowns are much more disruptive than helpful - and they're not helpful at all!!!

Budroe, I'm with you. Texas has come a long way from the old rule: If you ain't a cop you better not have pistol on you! If the clowns like the ones in the picture have their way it will go back to that.
I have no problem with the citizens right to bear arms. I get worried when people with so little MATURE JUDGEMENT ability are armed. So with me the issue is Judgement NOT Open or Concealed carry.

My sentiments exactly!! Well said budroe. What I don`t get is why walk around with a rifle or long gun when it is already legal to do so in Texas. As long as it is not in a threatning manner. What point are they making other than they are stupid?

Open Carry Texas slammed the NRA Monday in a post on its Facebook page, saying, "The NRA has refused to learn for themselves how Open Carry Texas conducts itself other than what the liberal media and [former New York City Mayor Michael] Bloomberg funded gun control extremists have falsely portrayed.
Are Open Carry Texas claiming the photograph in the article is false or staged? Is Fox News now considered part of the Liberal media?

I do notice that the photograph is just a few days shy of six months old, so I'm not sure why Fox are dragging it out now unless they haven't got anything from more recent demonstrations.

Because these nuts are still doing it. My son was telling me the other night he was in a store and some walked in carrying AR`s. This was in Houston.

Expect to be treated as such.

Hippy, the last time I was in Houston I wanted to have a Combat Loaded Marine rifle squad with me. But seriously, these children are OUR own worst enemy.
