Default I need an inexpensive scope

I need some recommendations for an inexpensive scope to put on a .308 bolt action. Mostly for range duty but may see a few days per year in the woods as well. 200 yds is about the max I'll ever shoot this gun so I don't need anything too serious. I could be swayed but I'm looking to keep it under $150.

I may have a new/used in the box Bushnell that I can part with.

Konus, Bushnell, Weaver, Redfield...each is reasonably priced, none is a "cheepo" scope, all will serve you well. On the other end, I once tried to save a buck by purchasing a BSA scope for my .243 Coyote rifle. Hey, I had a BSA 650 back in the '70s and it ran fairly well, so what the heck?!

    Big mistake.

It wouldn't hold zero, showed horrible parrallex, and was an overall blessing to any coyote I was able to call in. ...really, I was able to bag exactly ONE coyote the whole time I used that thing.

My choice now is Nikon. Buy it right and you'll only have to buy it once.

Maybe someday after I win the lottery I might buy a Zeiss or a Nightforce.

Information. Trijicon uses the same glass and coatings in their rifle scopes as does Zeiss in their rifle scopes.

I love my Nikon scopes that I own, I worked for a Nikon distributer so I got all nikon products at cost for almost a year... (i spent A LOT of money). But I love them, bought a 5-20x42 for my dads bolt action .308 remington 700 and it is amazing.

Thanks for the responses. I wasn't familiar with Konus. Seems like they may fit my purpose perfectly.
