In Tennessee, you can have a loaded magazine in the gun but not chambered.

I have heard stories where cops pulled someone over and lectured that the gun is easy pickings for a thief if the vehicle is left parked and unattended.
Which is the only reason I wouldn't leave my truck unattended with a rifle or shotgun in plain view.

Arizona is pretty liberal on gun laws, in general. You can carry any kind of rifle, shotgun or handgun loaded, or unloaded, "in plain view", or concealed, anywhere it is actually legal for you to have that firearm. That includes your vehicle. I can drive down the street with a loaded 12 gauge on the seat next to me and be perfectly legal. Which doesn't mean the cops won't give me grief if they pull me over.

I have been thinking about it but I do not trust the people in CT. Had my vehicles broken into before and had a Cobra that was almost stolen, could you imangine that mess. Haveing a "truck gun" in any of my vehicles just floating around and then vehicle gets stolen or broken into...CT would have a field day about it. Still considering a carpeted locked strong or long box behind the seat, so its un-noticeable and looks like its part of my truck (OEM). Maybe built into the cab somehow, but have not found a company that makes anything like this. May have to make my own.

In general, If I am carrying a gun, other than out shooting or hunting, it's strapped to my side.

I don't leave guns in my vehicles any more. We are getting so many illegal aliens here that nothing is safe. Since our local governments are welcoming them with open arms, we are suffering with a lot of crime. It is good for the government though, they get to raise taxes to enlarge their police forces, build new jails, and new schools, all come with new hiring of more government employees. And all of the above mentioned needs translators.

Beat me to it! I wouldnt keep a gun in my vehicle just because of the fact that someone could steal it when I leave the car. Unlikely where I live in CT, but possible. When im armed, its hidden on my hip.
If you know how many guns you have, you dont have enough!!

Gun control is being able to hit your target, over and over!

If guns are outlawed, only outlaws will have guns.

Here in the Gunshine State you can carry anything in your car.

They're trying this new thing down here.

It's called arresting criminals, not guns.

    Your state should try it.

I DNK what everybody else prefers, but a tube-fed .22LR semi-auto is handy, and any

caliber carbine you happen to like. Here, you can carry in your car, and OC is

allowed if you are hunting, fishing or camping. The police generally have better

business to attend to than pestering the general law abiding public about

    their guns...

Trust me. I can only dream about my state being run by people smart enough to understand that!

Yeah well, "Flaw-dah" is peopled by many well-off elderly folk who'd as soon sue the police as look at them, and they know this.
