The shoe polish won't take off the finish. And it will cover any scratches. Just use a cloth to apply.

The finish is super thin. It won’t polish, just rub off. So i did the deed and it turned out nice. In fact, it surprised me to know the model stayed on it when the top layer came off. I’m pleased with it and it took less than 15 minutes. I’ll put it under the wax a few times and smooth it up soon.

Looks good. When i did mine i sanded with 400,600,800 the 1000 grit wet sandpaper before i buffed it. That's how i managed to ruin the model imprint,

The Chiappa 1911-22 is my new favorite gun. I was hitting quarters at 75 feet today reliably every time. My M&P is still the king of mag dumps, but I can shoot twice as well - twice as far with the Chiappa. I really didn’t want to like this gun. I don’t care for inexpensive firearms. I’d gladly sell this M&P and keep only the Chiappa for a plinker. It’s the only 1911-22 on the market with a fixed barrel and it shows when you shoot it. Mine is the target which is $365, but the standard model is $265 and you can’t beat it. Here’s a vid of it firing, using my bad arm with the bone spur in my elbow so it wasn’t a tight hold.

and a mag dump on my M&P because that’s what it does best. Nothing runs better than this little Compact.

I’m gonna shoot them all. Lol. I’ve got a Ruger Mkiii for reference so I’m not going blind on target guns. This shoots every bit as well, but is less picky. .....but yes I’d like to shoot a Buckmark and that Colt next.

i took the rail off this 1911. I don’t like the way they look on 1911’s.

Cool it's fun shooting different guns. The Colt is made by Walther. And the mags hold 12 rounds and are steel too. I bought mine used it came with 5 mags. I think i paid 250.00 OTD.

OK I've had three range sessions and fired 200-250 rounds each time. I'm convinced this is the best shooting gun I can own. I don't want a competition gun, and I don't want an overly expensive gun that I can buy 2 other guns for the price of that shoot well. So that said, this gun shoots so well for me I'm convinced that it's the best shooter I have. That's out of several M&P of all calibers, Ruger Mkiii, a few Italian models, and more. Is it the best quality gun I own? Not at all. I Do believe however that we should shoot whatever we shoot best no matter what it is, and this gun.... Shoots awesome.

This is one of today's targets at 50 feet. If I wouldn't have been shooting the same spot in the target over and over you'd see that this is 15 magazines of ammo.

    I love this shooter.
