Big bore revolver holster for Alice belt?

Hello all, Im making the core of my hiking/camping/bugout gear my Alice duty belt.
(you know, I swore after bootcamp I would never wear one again, lol)
I have ordered the H-type suspenders for it, and I can fit just about any ammo pack to it, including those surplus Mosin pouches.
However, I would like to have a holster for my Ruger Super Blackhawk 44mag Talo that will fit on the belt, and maybe a 6 round ammo holder. Anybody got ideas?

I have a Hunter leather holster for my S&W 44 mag with a 8 3/8 barrel. Wife uses a Hunter leather holster for her 357 Colt 8 inch. Hunter holsters will fit your Alice belt or any other belt you happen to use. I have one for an old H&R 929 that is easily 30 years old. Keep the leather well oiled and these will out last you.

You can pick them up pretty inexpensive on e-bay. This link will take you to a page that has a selection up to a 10 1/2 inch barrel. ( You didn't say how long the barrel is )

For ammo use a speed loader and get two. Double pouches are available. This gives you quick access to 18 rounds of Ahhhh HELL NO!!!!

hmm. Well, Hunter holsters look nice, but they seem a bit long for my 3.75" barrel.
I noticed Bianchi L1 Lawman holster might fit the size of the gun better. any experience with them? or other suggestions?

Also, this is a single action, so speedloaders are not really an option for this gun.

Ahhh yes. My fault. I hear Ruger super black hawk or red hawk and I instantly think " Hog Leg " I have no experience with Bianchi other than my duty belt.

I keep going back to e-bay because I like search engine they use. You are looking for something more like these.

Bianchi makes a good holster. There are several really good leather smiths out there. Depends on what you want to pay. El Paso Saddlery makes some great leather holsters. I own 2 for some of my Blackhawks. Some can be pricey.

Thank you for the quick reply's.
I actually just managed to to slip on a leather holster I had made for this gun about a year ago.
My problem had been the big plastic clip and metal retainers were to large to allow a slip on, but I managed to work them off in order to slide on the holster.
Though, Im still looking for a ammo holder.

I have a temporary solution for the ammo. since for hiking/camping I would reload my Mosin and Ruger with my strong side, I have a surplus mosin ammo pouch. The first holds 15 7.62x54r, the second is holding 18 44Mag rounds.
this actually might prove better for protecting the rounds

Lets see, a heavy Mosin, a heavy .44mag revolver and ammo for both----hmmmmmmmmm--------just don`t fall in the water. LOL-----just messin with you. Glad it`s coming together.

For hiking/camping/hunting six rounds of .44 Magnum should be sufficient to suffice.

6 rounds may be sufficient, but an extra 18 cant hurt.
