The difference between a Socialist and a Communist is that the Socialist doesn't have all the guns yet.

One time in my life I sat on a jury. It was a trial involving a guy who had shot a villain with a 22 mag in self defense. The villain was not available to testify.

I have also own and keep one of those handy...using Hornady V-Max rounds... Did anyone mention, that it's INCREDIBLY loud when discharged, no doubt getting everyone's attention in the vicinity.

My regular edc/sd carry piece is a 2" K-frame .357RM when off property. The NAA minimag is my 'go to the mailbox' piece, or often pocket carried when outside of the homestead. JIC of bad natured loose animals, or venomous snakes...or whatever might unexpectedly pop up.

I feel very well protected when the minimag is close and handy.

For me, SD is a state of mind. I always feel "well-protected". A gun does

make it easier, but it is just a tool. The real weapon is what's between

    your ears.

Yes..However it is a very close and personal defensive round. The attacker already has a hand on me no more than arms distance...Very close proximity

I knew the famous Western Lawman Ed Cantrill. Ed was a Range Detective, Police Officer, Game Warden etc. Ed shot over 20 felons during his career. He was featured in Time Magazine back in the 1970s. Ed carried 2 S&W Mdl. 48 .22 Mags in a Dbl. shoulder rig. He told me many times how deadly the .22 Mag was. Ed had been to see the "Elephant", he knew what he was talking about.

Default I would not at this time, but I have considered in the past.

If I did get one for defense, it would be big and bulky, not a derringer or anything.
If I get one, it I would be something like this: The Kel Tec PMR-30, because it has a 30 round magazine. But, as you can see it is a full sized gun.

Definitely not optimal by any means but the best concealed carry gun is the one you will carry every day. I would say no but if you are accurate enough to make those tiny bullets count then it is all up to you
