Default camel gun from the 1600s!? someone ID this.

So the story goes that this gun was used on a camel and the reason its so long is that they used to lay the gun down and over its head and shoot on the camel. Its just a story but I have no idea. It has 1600 stamped on the brass.

EARLY Arabian wheellock rifle. It is worth a bit of money. Most surviving rifles of this sort reside in museums or in private collections.
The difference between a Socialist and a Communist is that the Socialist doesn't have all the guns yet.

I just don't know where I can get it authenticated.

Even if I do get it authenticated how much money woucould it be worth?

Wheellock? Maybe, but I'm going with Snaphaunce. I see the round thingy--but it's in the wrong place
for a wheellock and doesn't seem to have any visible way to wind it up.

Maybe a pan cover or vent hole plug? Other than the round thingy the lock is pure 1500's
    Snaphaunce.

    I'm with Billm.
    Appears to be a snaphaunce.

It's hard to judge without holding it in my hands but it looks really good. Got to be worth a couple of hundred to a collector of such guns, maybe more as long as it wasn't made for the
    tourist crowd.
