    Default Kel-Tec P-3AT

Had to break this bad boy in according to the owner's manual. Put 100 rounds through it, not a single hiccup. Very happy with the performance of the gun, and I gotta say, it's a bit fun to shoot. The center of my hand has a blister on it though, from where the edge of the frame was rubbing up against it. Also, I've fired .45s with seemingly less recoil, but that's only because the P-3AT was made to be LIGHT. Very happy with the performance at 7 yards as well.

I was taking shots at one second intervals. You couldn't ask for more in a sub compact gun. Very happy with this purchase, no matter how many times it gets called a girly gun at the range. I'll out-shoot most of those guys with the 1911, and with the Kel-Tec P-3AT.

EDIT: I'm pretty sure that's 30 rounds in that target.

Great to hear you are getting good performance! You might be able to smooth the frame a bit with fine sandpaper and make it a little more comfortable.

They're great little pistols. We've had a pair of them for almost 3 yrs. I'm selling my copy only because I want to carry a competing ultra-mini for a while.

I agree about the recoil. It sure dosen't feel like a mouse gun, does it?

    Very nice shooting.

I agree about the blisters, I put on an Uncle Mikes shooting glove with the gel insert to make it more comfortable. Mine is the generation one and works just fine.

I see you bought the all black frame. I have that also but like the OD Green frame a lot and may upgrade to the later model at some point.

Now you have to try the Kel-tec PF-9 when you get a chance. It too is an amazing little pistol. Kicks pretty hard but will put up nice groups out to 50+ feet with some practice and a shooting glove.

i have the same gun, still in the box, glad to hear it works the only thing i noticed was that magazine release is too easy to bump, i would hate to pull the weapon in a panic, hit the release, and see the mag fall free. how red faced would i be then? i plan to include it in my book. it looks like it would work well as a close quarter defensive weapon.

I've never accidentally engaged the magazine release. And I've practiced drawing from my pocket a lot.
