Alright, Ive done some shopping. (Who hasnt?)

First is something I picked up in Late Nov and Received Dec 2. Didn't get to shoot it until two weeks ago. (I was working in Georgia with General Electric, and then the Sandy Hook made getting ammo a PITA)

LRB matched upper and lower
5.56 chamber, 16" 1:9 chrome lined full profile barrel
Carbine gas system, A2 sights.
M4 feed ramp, Milspec bcg.

Had it made by a little company near Atlanta. Paid $705 out the door new, built to my request.

Took it out shooting and functioned flawlessly with the exception of one mag. I think the feed lips are a little warped, so I am going to check that later. No problem on the other 4 mags. Was a PAIN to get sighted in... My carry handle is a bit....lackluster, and well, noticed movement after tightening it down with pliars. Finally got it to stop moving, and had to adjust sight almost all the way to the right to get it to hit. I am a bit concerned about long range accuracy--I was sighting it at 25M (supposedly equal to 300M).

Not sure if it is the handle or something else...Not sure what to do here. Suggestions? I like Irons, but I am starting to think about a dot sight. But I am not really wanting to mess up the lines of such a clean weapon--that original M16 look (i know, shorter barrel)... but I dont think this carry handle is going to work past 100 -150 yards.

Second, I sold my little Bersa .22. I was really disliking the front sights not wanting to zero for me, so, I decided to part ways. Found a buyer who gave me what I paid new for it pre tax, (I gave the case and fobus holster with is, so I wasn't hitting him too hard) so I went looking for a P22. My local gunstore happened to have P22's on sale for $278, but also had the Ruger SR22 for $330, both new. So I went to the range and rented both. The Ruger was fantastic. Shot the range cheap cheap ammo, and was FILTHY when I was handed it. No jams, and had some of the best grouping I have ever shot with a .22 pistol. Next, the P22...Same story as far as dirty...not so with reliability. It functioned about as well as a bolt action pistol....So....Ruger got my money that day.
