    Default New (old) .22LR Rifle...

I have a collection of .22LR firearms that I am kind of proud of. I am constantly on the lookout for .22's that I don't have. I pick them up at flea markets, yard sales, gun shows, pawn shops, and word of mouth. If I hear of a .22 somewhere I am immediately on the hunt!

220Combat posted, about 3 weeks ago, that he had a Marlin model 56 lever gun in .22LR for sale. These rifles were a predescesor of the model 60 and were produced in the 50's and early 60's. The model 56 is a great example of not only an older .22LR but a rare old lever gun.

I contacted 220, explained that the rifle was a CCR weapon (more than 50 years old), and requested he sell it to me as such. He agreed and we did the deal...

He had explained to me that he thought the gun needed a firing pin or spring as it would not shoot. While waiting for the gun I ordered a pin/spring set from gun parts and they arrived last friday.

When the rifle arrived I was absolutely shocked! For a gun that is close to 60 years old it is like new! The wood, finish, blueing, and action are absolutely gorgeous! It is a wonderful addition to my collection!

The gun came yesterday and I installed the pin/spring today. The gun is tight, accurate, and shoots great!

I just wanted to share my excitement over a well respected addition to my .22LR collection!

Thanks 220Combat... I appreciate you giving me the opportunity to buy such a great rifle at a great price!

    Don

That thing is mint! Congratulations on your sweet new addition!
If you know how many guns you have, you dont have enough!!

Gun control is being able to hit your target, over and over!

If guns are outlawed, only outlaws will have guns.
