my cuz has a moseburg 500 30-06 and the bolt wont close all the way we took the fireing pin out and reassembled the bolt but is still wont close

I'm sorry, but isn't the Mossburg 500 a pump-action shotgun? Double check your model number, and it will likely help the gurus on the site give you the correct info.

Did the bolt stop closing after a scope was mounted?

If so, dismount the scope and bases. What has happened is that a base mounting screw is impinging on the locking lug raceway inside the receiver.

The short scope base mounting screws go in the front base.
