Yeah i think you saw it haha.
Forget the fee, i would pay that gladly.
Its the whole "wait AT LEAST 3 months" part that pisses me off. Anywhere from 3 to 8 months. Even though, legally, they are supposed to respond within 30 days, they don't..
Going to go to the local PD To get all the papers filled out and then its a waiting game as to when i can actually go and buy!
Funny thing is you need to jump hoops to get something BASIC.. Its not like im asking to just go and pick up an AR15. Those have been outlawed since 1990 i believe.. Before i was born.
Don't take your rights for granted, and don't let go of them no matter what. Otherwise youll be stuck shooting rubber band guns at deer :(

All I can is WOW, it's a police state:

Handcuffs on the list of can't have? ahahahaha

Just unreal. You can get an M1 Garrand, that's a really nice rifle and it helps you think out your thumb nice (ahahaha) don't get nails and use it! I can tell you from experience you'll lose them and have to fish them out. LOL

M1 Garrand or a paratrooper SKS (they don't have the grenade launcher).

Being young, you'll probably have a really hard time getting that permit. I'm not reading it anymore, makes me sick.

    I have a H&R shotgun - singleshot, made in 1912 or 1913 - I think those are allowed too.

I'm sorry you're in such a state. Just carrying them around has a wild set of rules. In Idaho I see people with all types of rifles on their backs riding their motorcycles going to the range. Think you want to look at a nice M1 Garrand, or asxXSARGEXx said: the 1903 and 1917 are awesome guns - I love mine. Would love the 1917 more if stocks were cheaper ahahaha

No nails for me, so i think im good haha.
I Know a couple of guys around my age that all have permits so it wont necessarily be a problem, its just a matter of time, and quite honestly, i dont want to wait. Haha.
Im going to look into those. Thanks for the suggestions. Time for some google searches to see what id be looking at for each of those!

Well good luck, a nice Garrand will set you back, but you can get a 1903 or 1917 inexpensively relatively speaking. Popeye and a few others can help you when you find the gun you want, I'm no expert but love mine. You can also look into the Russian Mosin as said, they have different sizes also, the M38 model is smaller and doesn't have a bayonet so that would be OK there also I think. Don't know if you can have an SKS even if you remove the bayonet and grenade launcher, but the paratrooper model may work there also.

Post some pics when you get yours!

WOW, I can't believe it! Looks like other states require them also, even to buy a blackpowder or bolt action, or shotgun. WOW
Or even a BB gun! Good grief Charlie Brown!

Unreal is all I can say. This is really bad and if it goes country wide, it's worse. Our state constitution prevents it though :-D

Indiana is a very gun friendly state. And my home state of Texas----well, pretty self explanatory.

You guys got it good. My state is the 2nd toughest out there :/.
Limited to 15 round mag's but any gun that can even use higher than that is banned. Found that entertaining. Unless they make insanely large magazines for handguns. I Know they make some pretty high capacity stuff for those.
Considering moving to Pennsylvania in the future (perhaps after college) just to escape the insane gun laws here, although by the look of things everyone will have the same laws NJ has right now pretty soon.
