    Default Mia

Hi all. This is Doug Nickerson as you know by my user name.
As most of you know, we went on a Florida vacation 2 years
ago and met "Ice 4 Blood". His Name is/was Pat. He was an extraordinary
guy. He was a cop for 30 some years. We got together in Ft. Lauderdale
While we were on vacation and it was the best thing we did while we were
down there. He was an excellent guy. We spent 5+ hours just talking about
everything, not just guns, but yes, everything. I wish that all of you could have
had the Privilege to meet him. He treated our boys like they were his own.

With that said, I think he has passed. I have been trying to call him for the last
10 months with no avail. He was 79 when we met 2 years ago his health
    was declining..

I for one am gonna miss him. And I hope most of you do to.

    God Bless "Ice 4 Blood"

    Sorry, Meant MIA not mia

Let's take a moment of silence to honor him.

I can't say enough about him. He wanted to take me to the range, but I had no guns.
He offered his, but it was almost dark already. He was truly a GREAT guy. We ate, we
drank, and he paid for it all. Again, I wish you could have heard his stories about his
life. Priceless. He was truly a great asset to this forum and a good friend..

Yeah, he had some snakes, but his preferred carry was the Walther PPQ.
    Great gun by the way.

It's always sad to lose a friend even if your connection was brief.

I also wonder what happened to Larry it's been a while since I saw any of his post on here

Old Gun Owners never die. Not if the reload! RIP Ice4blood, if that is the case. If not speak up so we can stop crying and carrying on.

There are a multitude of reasons why folks quit posting on the forums they are associated with. Dying is a real big reason.

I have left usernames, passwords and instructions for my executor to notify the internet communities I frequent of my ultimate demise when that occurs. Not so everyone, well, maybe one, will wail, rend clothes and gnash teeth, but just so folks'll know.

Years ago I was on HuntAmerica. It was what the old Outdoor life or Field and Stream forum morphed into. There was a prominent poster and Whitetail guru on there named Don Wald. He died and his son posted and obit of sorts to let everyone know what had happened. It brought some closure to not seeing his posts any more. One of the biggest issues with forums is that people seldom use their real names and indeed in the early days it was suggested not to for identity theft reasons. I always figured nobody really wanted to be me, and if they did, I was certainly willing to share the bills. Don Wald's passing and his son's post gave me the idea of doing the same thing. There are those of us who really want to know. If it's posted, we can find out.

There are a good many friends I'v made but never met on forums. Mostly old guys, and when I don't see them posting I kinda figure there must be some good reason, not that the reason is necessarily good.

To all that have passed, I hope 22 lr bricks are $1/each wherever you are.
