I've checked a few pages back and haven't seen any thread about gun porn, you know just nice guns pistols, revolvers, rifles yours or not, if you find one that makes you go " hell yeah! " post it here :thumbsup:
Are those yours and if so do you shoot that Rigby? I noticed the strange contour on the stock, i wonder if that's for aesthetics or so it don't snap in two?
LOL! I love how you compare it to another huge powerful round! As i was reading it i was expecting to read a smaller caliber. Sweet rifles and really love the wood on the Weatherby.
Top is a seldom seen iron frame Henry rifle, and the other is the Colt SAA in .44 rimfire. Around 300 iron frames and 1,863 of the Colts were ever made.
This is the Colt Model 1909 "Straight handle" pistol. A critical evolutionary step toward the M1911, only 23 were ever made. Only 8 are known to still exist, two of which are in museums.
An Anderson Wheeler 500 Nitro Box Lock Express Rifle, which loads a .50 caliber round that fires a 570-grain bullet at around 2,200 feet per second. This rifle is ideally used as a stopping rifle and is usually carried by professional hunters or hunters in search of African Dangerous game.
I'd shoot the 500 NE before the 1911's, but I'd still shoot them...
As a young man, and honestly as an older man, I have always wanted to hunt Africa.... But, even when that might have been a remote possibility, the reality was quite different from what I envisioned it to be. So, I will content myself to pull down "African Rifles & Cartridgea" or "Hunter" and follow along with John Taylor and J.A. Hunter...
