I am 17 years old international student and when i reach 18years old i want to get a hunting license so i can buy a firearm legaly in the USA..
my questions are :-
1- do i need a social security number to get hunting license and to legaly purchase a firearm ? What if i don't have the social security number ?
2- 18years old applicants are good to go ?
The most important question is 3-which hunting license am i required to get .. in order to be able to buy a firearm legaly ?????? *Because there are alot of types of hunting licenses
4- can i renew the hunting license ?
5- what if i got the hunting license from another state ? Do i have to get new one in the new state if i moved from state to another ?
6- what if i faced an officer that don't even know that alien non-residents on non-immigrant visas are able to buy/posses firearms legaly by having a valid hunting license ? How can i tell him that I haven't done anything illegal-against the laws ???
7-by having a valid hunting license can i legaly buy semi-automatic military style rifle and pistols ? Or its only for bolt-action rifles and shotguns only
You cannot PURCHASE a firearm in the United States, whether you have a hunting permit or not. You will not pass the NICS background check. Read your link again. It say's nothing about a purchase with a hunting permit.

A5. A nonimmigrant alien who is lawfully admitted to the United States without a visa (e.g. Visa Waiver Program), may acquire or possess a firearm in the United States, provided that he or she is not prohibited from shipping, transporting, receiving, or possessing firearms or ammunition in the U.S.
It has been my understanding that persons coming to the US to hunt may, through the proper channels bring their own firearms, use the firearms of their hosts, or as a client use a firearm belonging to the outfitter, for the purposes of that particular hunt only. It has further been my understanding that no non-citizen may purchase by any means or methods a firearm in the United States and take possession of that firearm for any reason inside the borders of the US and its territories.
I have been wrong before.
But;
Question 18.c. Exceptions to the Nonimmigrant Alien Prohibition and Acceptable Documentation: An alien admitted to the United States under a nonimmigrant visa is not prohibited from purchasing, receiving, or possessing a firearm if the alien: (1) is in possession of a hunting license or permit lawfully issued by the Federal Government, a State or local government, or an Indian tribe federally recognized by the Bureau of Indian Affairs, which is valid and unexpired; (2) was admitted to the United States for lawful hunting or sporting purposes; (3) has received a waiver from the prohibition from the Attorney General of the United States; (4) is an official representative of a foreign government who is accredited to the United States Government or the Government's mission to an international organization having its headquarters in the United States; (5) is an official representative of a foreign government who is en route to or from another country to which that alien is accredited; (6) is an official of a foreign government or a distinguished foreign visitor who has been so designated by the Department of State; or (7) is a foreign law enforcement officer of a friendly foreign government entering the United States on official law enforcement business.
So, I suppose the answer to the question is Yes and No. Does the possession of a hunting license give an alien carte blanche to purchase firearms? No, I don't think it does. Does it give an alien the documentation to purchase a firearm for hunting or sporting purposes? Yes, I believe it does.
1_shooter_1, young man I would proceed on this path with extreme caution and it likely would not hurt to get some legal advice in this regard from an actual lawyer versed in this subject. Whatever the price of that is it will pale in the face of what the cost to you will be if you do it wrong.
I would advise friend or foe, there are some current laws from 2001, since extended, that don't always reflect in some published codes. So...if I myself go to a foreign land, and want to obey important laws that would keep me from deportation, or prison...first thing I should do is get enterpreter if needed and get on a local forum ?..Contact your embassy and or the ATF.
That is or rather was an eastern block country I believe. Maybe he travels back and forth?
Mine usually flip flops on where it says I am because I use satellite in the boonies, though usually somewhere in the US.
