    Default Flashlight on optic

I just got my new flashlight for my AR but it won't fit where I was hoping to put it. I remembered the rail section on my red dot and it seems to work well, but I was wondering if it would affect the ability to hold a zero.

It might be a bit clumsy, I'm not sure yet, but I can live with it. But I'm not willing to mess with my zero.

Personally I would put it on your hand guard close to the grip but that's me

On this pic of my 9mm carbine it's close and convenient, I can turn it on and off easily with my thumb. Since you have a cable and button it would be even better

I would like to do that but I don't have another picatinny section. I was having trouble finding another. Kinda hoped this would work for now.

    Is that a Keltec Sub2000?

I agree with Kobs. I personally would not attach anything to an optic.

get this and put it on your hand guard.

I wouldn't do it on the optic either bro, Regardless of the zero, if your close enough to use the flashlight the zero will probably be negligible, but the real problem is the shadow casting?

Turn the lights off and use it in your place, and see how much the weapons obstructing of the light emitting, I'm betting its quite a lot. I'd move it as far forward as possible to not hinder the light cone? If you cant attach the thing on the front, on that rail you could use zip ties in a pinch, but once that barrel heats up good and nasty that thing will defiantly fall off, so as long as your not going ham with it all the time, even zips could work.

Keymod isn't just for looks. What do you need a picatinny section for?

Yes it is, Glock mags and a Red Lion hand guard plus a few things

Picatinny goes on keymod, flashlight goes on picatinny. But the pic sections fit on differently on the 90 degree increments than they do on the 45s. To put it on the 90 I would need a new section, but the 45 I have a couple, just would rather have it on a 90.

Seems like unnecessary weight. I'd just get a keymod flashlight mount. Plenty of cheap ones around if budget is a concern.
