    Default Identifiy PPK 380

I traded for a PPK .380 and would like to know if you could tell me anything about the gun.

Left side of the slide is: CARL WALTHER WAFFENFABRIK Ulm/Do.
    75th Jahre 1886-1961
MODELL PPK Cal 9mm Kurz GERMANY

Right of the side of the slide written in cursive is: 75th Jahre
    Carl Walther

Stamped on the Barrel is: 380 68 Antler proof stamp, Eagle proof stamp

    SN is: 129769A

The grip is brown/black plastic with Walther banner and made in Germany on the left and Walther, Eagle Stamp and Distributed by Interarms Alexandria Virginia USA on the right. The finish is Blue but polished. Very pretty gun Mint condition look, maybe refurbished.

The gun included a black plastic case with Manual, Safety Warnings, Limited Warranty, and Proof Target that has Modell 71895 which matches the box. Also included in the box was a cleaning too.

Sounds like a lot of things an Aniversery issue a Nazi issue but also a repro with the american markings or an import for the aniversery still for a collector its a good job

Manufactured in W Germany in 1961 as a 75th anniversary commemorative to be distributed in the US by Interarms. At that time, Interarms imported and distributed all Walther firearms for sale in the US.

    Probably not a refurb.

I'd guess its dollar value to a collector would be in excess of $1k.
The difference between a Socialist and a Communist is that the Socialist doesn't have all the guns yet.

Yeah I'm not so sure of that gun and the engravings.
The "th" after the 75 is not a German designation but english.
There is no such thing as 75th Jahre in the german language, it should just read 75 Jahre and nothing else.

But maybe this was made for US only and they thought to mix english and german together so people could understand it but I have my doubts.

To put it differently 75 Jahre means it is 75 years in production where as 75th year is well the just that but you see the difference.

Sorry. I am not a collector of Walther PPK commemoratives.
